The summer holidays in Peru take place in January and February. Since last year, the Huchuy Yachaq Social Centre offered a daily activity programme to keep the neighbourhood’s youth busy. A team of teachers, under the direction of Karol S., has made these two months a safe, positive, welcoming and above all very entertaining experience. Making Paucartambo masks, making recycled material wallets, screen printing, theatre, psychomotor workshops, mathematics and Spanish classes, etc. There was no lack of activities!
72 children and teenagers aged 3 to 16 participated with their youthful energy, laughter and enthusiasm. A free program that Los Chicos de Cusco partly helped to pay.
